How to use this list
A penalty is worth around 0.76 expected goals, so a first-choice taker on a team that wins spot kicks often adds 15 to 25 points over a season. That makes penalty duty one of the best tiebreakers between two similar players.
Orders change with injuries, transfers and the occasional miss, so check the team news before a big decision. A second-choice taker is worth noting when the regular is doubtful: for a week, the duty is theirs.
